Architect (Location: Dubai (UAE))

Position Objective

The job holder will be responsible for the design, preparation of architectural drawings and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders so as to assist in the completion of the projects as the business requirements within the stipulated timeframe. 

Roles & Responsibility

Layouts and Planning

·         Understand and develop the area allocations based on the business requirements after thorough analysis of the site.

·         Understand the requirements of various internal departments and address to it

·         Develop conceptual 3D’s / models / mock ups of various critical areas, new developments within the proposed shop

·         Ensure that plans contain pictorial representations, sketches etc.

·         Ensure that all the designs are as per the standards

·         Ensure that all the drawings are clear, concise and comprehensive.

Architectural Drawings

·         Develop complete architectural construction and design documents for the showroom that will include a comprehensive floor plan(s), flooring, partition, ceiling, electrical and lighting layouts exterior elevations, interior elevations, details, perspectives, sections, A/c diffuse allocation, lightning, graphic imaging (3D Presentation) and all material selections and finishes using Computer aided design (CAD)

·         Ensure strict adherence to standards and timelines

·         Focus on cost, quality and durability

Design Coordination & Monitoring

·         Coordinate on all project issues with the internal stakeholders (project managers, quantity surveyor, site co-ordinators) as external stakeholders (suppliers, consultants etc.)

·         Prepare all reports and flow charts as per projects requirements

·         Submit all drawings, details and reports to the relevant stakeholders / Mall management as per the deadlines

 

Basic Qualification & work experience requirements

·         B. Arch.

·         AutoCAD, 3D Max/Sketchup, MS Office & Photoshop

·         5 – 7  years of work experience

·         Min. 3 years of work experience doing retail design for a reputed retail brand or an agency handling retail designs for different brands

Position Objective

Role and Responsibilities

·         To act as an ambassador for Centrepoint, effectively managing the day-to-day operation of the store and its sales team

·         Responsible for the overall success driving sales, reinforcing operations, and staff development, as well as overall service and brand integrity for the store

·         Be a role model for strong product knowledge of the Centrepoint product line, as well as selling and customer service standards

·         To manage the day to day operational and staffing requirements of the store including rota, security, finance, personnel & maintenance issues

·         Continually monitor store processes and procedures to ensure best practice standards are in place

Graphics Designer (Location: Dubai (UAE))

Position Objective

This job holder will be responsible for translating and transferring of ideas / concepts / designs into promotional displays and marketing brochures for products and services; developing distinctive logos for products and in house brands, and creating visual designs for corporate literature

 

Role and Responsibilities

Creative Solutions

·         Understand the creative and business needs for the brand and marketing calender

·         Apply advanced and diversified concepts to create the graphic representations on system with combination of different color pallets

·         Adapt designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts given by BBDO.

·         Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.

·         Develop graphics and layouts for promotion posters, logos, displays for occassions and tactical promotions.

·         Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed

·         Create the window display designs for the entire Concept in all the territories

·         Create graphic artworks such as promo posters, logos and the like for the Concept

·         Prepare Art works for Signage’s (outdoor / indoor)

Miscellaneous

·         Coordinate and assist in the execution of large format printing  including colour and profile management

·         Oversee the printing needs for the Concept and stand-alone stores (vinyl poster, backlit poster etc.)

·         Ensure that the visuals / posters are laminated, mounted and distributed properly for all the territories on schedule  (if applicable)

·         Prepare Photoshop presentations as and when required under the direction of the Marketing Manager

·         Coordinate with the Visual Merchandisers in executing their requirements of seasonal changes and window themes

·         Maintain large format printers (if applicable)

·         Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools and technologies in Graphic Design

The job holder will be responsible for maximizing market share through development and implementation of effective Visual Merchandising standards and methods, in line with Company objectives. The job holder will also be responsible for managing the development and implementation of effective visual merchandising and creative displays standards to create a world class visuals brand proposition and in store environment.

Key Deliverables

• Manage development of creative and innovative Visual Merchandising solutions to maximize market share

• Plan and manage visual merchandising tasks to minimize expenditure and maximize productivity within the allocated budget

• Maximize market share using visual merchandising skill and business awareness

• Build a close working relationship with the concept VM management teams incorporated with centrepoint.

• Manage, conceptualize and ensure implementation of the Brand Visual Strategy

• Co-ordinate with Buyers, Marketing, Store Operations, Projects in determining specific visual merchandising needs for conceptualization and design of Visual Merchandising solutions

• Assess and recommend action to Visual Merchandising team regarding brand presentation issues, promotions and events, and training issues related to visual merchandising standards

• Ensure development and training of In-store Visual Merchandisers, on merchandising standards, space planning and store layout and other visual merchandising techniques

Education and Qualification

VM Manager - UAE Concept
Projects Manager (Location: UAE )

Position Objective:

The job holder will be responsible for participating in all retail project / site development phases from schematic design through construction inclduing conceptual and detailed planning, designing, material specification, contractor evaluation and finalization, site supervision and control. The job holder will also be responsible for renovation and maintenance of existing stores with regards to any civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry works.

 

Retail Format Design / Re-design

• Deliver detailed specifications and clear, concise, comprehensive, and complete engineering / interior drawings as required

• Assist in developing the zoning in the store as per the categories of products to be displayed by bearing in mind the principles of space management and profiles of the target consumers

• Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare architectural base plans, sections, elevations and details as appropriate to document relevant conditions

• Assist in detail development and assisting in researching products and systems that accomplish the design intent

 

Site Project Management

• Assist in site selection and prepare the detailed survey report by performing on-site design services, interpreting drawings, specs, codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and carrying out field engineering work

• Assist in preparing detailed project plans for site development including project costing, timelines and development schedules and coordinate for approvals

• Assist in nomination, evaluation and appointment of consultants and contractors / suppliers / vendors including negotiation of rates and contractual terms and obligations

• Manage vendor relationships including conducting planning session with vendors and service providers and define project and performance expectations

• Assist in identifying and evaluating new products / solutions including material to be used bearing in mind quality and cost effectiveness

• Provide material specifications and oversee procurement of the material from suppliers

• Coordinate with external agencies like Architectural Consultants, Material suppliers, Construction agencies etc so as to ensure that the project is completed with in the scheduled time period in a efficient and effective way

• Supervise all the activities on-site and coordinate with Concept to regularly provide feedback on the progress of work/project

• Assist in guiding and managing the manpower deployed onsite including Supervisors and contractor labour • Prepare project reports for review of project head.

 

Technical Assistance

• Assist in Any construction and interior design related work in the existing stores and new stores o Any electricity related work in the existing stores and new stores o Any carpentry related work in the existing stores and new stores . Any plumbing related work in the existing stores and new stores

• Assist in reviewing Civil / MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) drawings till completion.

 

People Management

• Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job through career planning

Senior Design Architect (Location: UAE)

Position Objective

The job holder will be responsible for participating and leading all retail project / site development phases from schematic design through construction including conceptual and detailed planning, designing, material specification, contractor evaluation and finalization, site supervision and control. The job holder will also be responsible for evolving designs for meeting the goals of business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Format Design / Re-design

•Conceptualize / Redesign retail formats for the Concept in line with the customer, mall requirements and latest market trends

•Develop complete / manage the process of design for the showroom that will include a comprehensive floor plan, exterior elevations, interior elevations, A/c diffuse allocation, lightning, graphic imaging (3D Presentation) and all material selections and finishes

•Develop designs for all other features / utilities of the Mall / store such as building placement / orientation, parking lot layout / flow, service vehicle access

•Deliver detailed specifications and clear, concise, comprehensive, and complete engineering / interior drawings as required

•Ensure that all the designs and drawings are as per the company standards

•Develop the zoning in the store as per the categories of products to be displayed by bearing in mind the principles of space management and profiles of the target consumers

•Review and process all shop drawing/sample submissions and consult within the Projects Team and External Consultants, as appropriate, to ensure the design intent is being maintained

•Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare architectural base plans, sections, elevations and details as appropriate to document relevant condition

•Coordinate with the Retail Operations and VM team to get their inputs on the design, which includes the floor plan, elevations etc.

•Provide expertise in detail development and assisting in researching products and systems that accomplish the design intent

•Review and recommend to the retail team any changes that may be required to renovate the existing stores

Site Project Management

•Assist in site selection and prepare the detailed survey report by performing on-site design services, interpreting drawings, specs, codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and carrying out field engineering work •Nominate, evaluate and appoint contractors / suppliers including negotiation of rates and contractual terms and obligations

•Manage vendor relationships including conducting planning session with vendors and service providers and define project and performance expectations

•Identify and evaluate new products / solutions including material to be used bearing in mind quality and cost effectiveness

•Provide material specifications and oversee procurement of the material from suppliers

•Coordinate with external agencies like Architectural Consultants, Material suppliers, Construction agencies etc so as to ensure that the project is completed with in the scheduled time period in a efficient and effective way

Technical Supervision

•Oversee and manage:

•Any interior design related work in the existing stores and new stores

•Review MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) drawings to align with drawings.

•Coordinate with MEP, municipal authorities and PRO for approvals of Civil signage’s and municipality permissions

 

People Management

•Manage the performance of the team – set annual performance goals, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
